Hyde Business Forum

The Hyde Business Forum was set up in March 2009 and consists of town centre businesses, local councillors, officers from business link and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Tameside council officers. The forum is open to all businesses and organisations that operate within the town centre, and to those organisations who have an interest in, or can contribute to, the forum’s Aims and Objectives.

Hyde Business Forum is a group of businesses, councillors and officers formed to produce an Action Plan to promote Hyde as prosperous town in which to do business. We seek new business members. We look at the people, the place and the buildings of Hyde.

Hyde is one of the nine towns of Tameside and with excellent transport links is situated at Junction 3 of the M67. Just 20 minutes away from Manchester International Airport.

Hyde Town Centre now operates a town centre radio link which involves Greater Manchester Police and the Tameside Patrollers along with assistance from Tameside MBC's CCTV room. There is currently around 50 businesses using the radio link successfully, which is helping to prevent crime in the town centre, it also gives staff that extra bit of security when working alone. The system also provides valuable information between businesses and the security services to enable them to respond to situations.

What sort of businesses are you looking for as members? Any business which is based within Hyde Town Centre. You don't have to be a large business, we really want people who are interested in the future development of Hyde.
