New Business Link Service
The Government has changed the way it provides information and advice to help people start, improve and grow their businesses. The changes include:
- The Business Link website has been updated with new features focussing on the specific needs of "My New Business" and "Growth and Improvement".
- For help in locating specific information and navigating the website the New Business Link Helpline is on 0845 600 9006
- A National Mentoring Programme may be accessed via http://www.mentorsme.co.uk//
Access to Finance
The Government's aim is for more UK entrepreneurs and businesses to be able to access the finance they need to enable greater levels of enterprise, whether expressed through start-up or growth.
They are seeking to achieve this through the following:
- Sources of Finance for Small Businesses
- Enterprise Finance Guarantee
- Enterprise Capital Funds
- Community Investment Tax Relief
- Tackling Late Payment
- SMEs access to finance - FAQs (PDF, 443 Kb)
